Ingredients
1. 4 big apples
2. 1 tea spoon of cinnamon
3. 4 eggs
4. 100 g ground carob
5. 150 g sugar
6. vanilla
7. 150 g flour
8.150 ml milk
9.100 ml oil
10.1 baking powder
11. 1 chocolate bar
Heat oven at 200 degrees. Grate apples and sprinkle with cinnamon. Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the whites until firm. Mix the yolks, sugar and vanilla, add the grated apples, flour, milk, oil, baking powder and carob. Add the beaten whites slowly mixing by hand
Put in a 35×20 cm baking pan and bake for 30’.
When baked, coat with chocolate (melt chocolate on vapor adding a little butter).
This recipe was chosen by the pupils of the Elementary School “Marin Drzic” in Dubrovnik. We choose another girl from the same class and the two of them together have made the orange peel candies. Mia brought them to school. After having tasted them we all agreed that these were the best orange peel candies we have ever tasted. Some pupils who have not liked this kind of sweets before, declared that they definitely liked these ones because they were much better than candies in candy shops.
By the way, there are 11 pupils in our class.
